What Makes Our Ink Pads Vegan?

It doesn’t matter whether you’re using a stamp and ink pad as a business or as part of a craft activity at home, you may be surprised to find out just how many materials used are not actually vegan friendly. A lot of colouring, plastics, adhesives and rubber are made using animal products. This is where we come in.

When you’re looking for ink pads, you will notice that not all of them are vegan friendly. This is because it’s extremely difficult to develop a range of ink pads that are all completely vegan friendly. However, we are already many steps ahead of our competitors. We consciously choose vegan friendly materials wherever we can and we sell as many vegan friendly products as possible. We already stock a number of colours that use natural ingredients entirely and though it’s not currently possible for all colours, we’re on our way to developing more.

All of our standard stamps are created using reclaimed wood mounts and an acrylic base. Rather than choosing a cheap acrylic to save ourselves time and money, we specifically use acrylic from Green Cast that’s 100% recycled plastic. This means that we don’t rely on new plastic being created in order to produce our stamps. Our rubber stamps are completely made using reclaimed oak and vegan adhesive. Whereas some adhesives do use animal products, ours do not. We make a point of using material that are not derived from animals or animal products.
